Conn. pow-wow is major event on circuit

MONDAY, AUGUST 19, 2002 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation will kick off its annual Schemitzun pow-wow on Thursday. Also known as the Feast of Green Corn and Dance, the pow-wow is one of the largest in the country. Thousands of dancers from tribes in the U.S. and Canada are expected for the four-day event.
