FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 2002 The 81st annual Indian Market officially began in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Thursday. This year's exhibits are dedicated to September 11. About 80,000 visitors are expected from now until Sunday. Several honors have been bestowed upon outstanding Native artists. Fellowships were awarded to jeweler Dale Edaakie from the Zuni Pueblo; Navajo weaver Michelle Laughing, Morris Muskett, Anita Tsosie and TahNibaa Naataanii; Navajo jeweler Michael Slim and Navajo painter Keith Smith.
