FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 2002 The younger brother of guitar great Jimi Hendrix plans to file suit against the Hendrix family estate today, claiming he was denied a rightful share after their father died. The estate is estimated to be worth about $150 million to $240 million. Leon Hendrix says all he got was a souvenir gold record. Jimi Hendrix was of African-American and Cherokee descent, through his mother. He was inducted into the Native American Music Awards Hall of Fame. Get the Story:
