Lenape Tribe making canoe journey

THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 2002 Members of Pennsylvania's Lena'pe Tribe are on a 330-mile canoe trip down the Delaware River. The trip started in Hancock, N.Y., on August 3. It will end this coming Sunday. The historic Lena'pe Tribe lived in Delaware, New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and southern New York. Some tribal members were forcibly removed to Oklahoma. Get the Story:
