WEDNESDAY, JULY 31, 2002 Allegations of misuse of funds and and questions over leadership are affecting the dealings of a New Mexico non-profit with ties to the Navajo Nation. The Shiprock Fair Board organizes the Shiprock Northern Navajo Fair, which takes place Oct. 3-7. The Shiprock Chapter House has called for the removal of the board members, citing financial irregularity. An ousted board member sides with the chapter house and says there are problems. But the board is incorporated in the state of New Mexico, not on the reservation. Get the Story:
