Okla. tribe fires housing officials

TUESDAY, JULY 30, 2002 The Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Oklahoma has fired two of its three housing commissioners amid a federal investigation. Charmaine Norman Brown was one of the members removed. She says the tribe's housing program has problems but they were not caused by the dismissed commissioners. The Department of Housing and Urban Development is conducting an audit, she said.
