Bill sets aside tribal police funds

Rep. Brad Carson (D-Okla.) has introduced a bill to help rural law enforcement fight methamphetamine.

The bill will require $172 million for to hire, train and retain officers and provide technology upgrades, Carson told the Associated Press. About 10 percent of the funding will be set aside for tribal law enforcement.
