The Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians asked a federal appeals court on Wednesday to block negotiations on permanent casinos in Detroit.

The Michigan tribe won a suit which found the original process was unconstitutional. But a federal judge subsequently said there was nothing he could do to correct the wrong.
