Wash. pow-wow draws thousands

MONDAY, JULY 22, 2002 An estimated 9,000 people attended the 17th annual Seafair Indian Days Powwow at Discovery Park in Washington this weekend. The pow-wow is coordinated by the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation, which was founded in the 1970s to serve urban Indians in the Seattle area. Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels was honored with a song to recognize the city's relationship with the organization. Get the Story:
