S.D. tribe's nursing program in danger

FRIDAY, JULY 19, 2002 The Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe's college in South Dakota has been given until November to reform its registered nursing program. The South Dakota Board of Nursing said not enough Sisseton-Wahpeton Community College students are passing the registered nurse licensing exam. Board members said the success rate has been 53 percent in 1996 and lower in recent years. Get the Story:
