THURSDAY, JULY 18, 2002 Plans for Native American Caucus in the Senate are underway. Sens. Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), Ben Nighthorse Campbell (R-Colo.) and Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) are leading the charge, along with other members of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.). The wrote Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle and Minority Leader Trent Lott for approval of the group. The House has its own Native American Caucus. Get the Story:
