TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2002 Elders make up 8.6 percent of the population of the Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado. Elders are recognized through the Committee of Elders, which was formed in 1980. The group is consulted on cultural, environmental and elder issues. Get the Story:
