Editorial: Indian students deserve change

TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2002 The Seattle Post-Intelligencer in an editorial today says the removal of an Indians mascot was a step in the right direction. "Indian students deserve an education in an environment that doesn't feel demeaning to them," the paper writes. The paper said the West Seattle High School must now move forward with a new mascot and other positive changes. Get the Story:
