Two Florida men were charged on Wednesday for knowingly removing and reburying human remains dating as far back as 2,000 years.

The pair moved the remains in order to avoid delays at a construction site, authorities allege. They did not notify anyone of the discovery of the bones.

David Cash, a construction worker, was charged with one count of damaging an unmarked grave and one count of ailing to report the destruction of an unmarked human burial. Carlos Ochoa, an engineering inspector and Cash's boss, was charged with one count of the latter charge.
