The Department of Agriculture is investigating the use of American Indian symbols and tribal names a 4H club in West Virginia.

The Washington Times reports that the probe began yesterday. USDA provides $4.5 million in funds to the 4H program, which is run through West Virginia University.

A non-Indian filed a civil rights complaint because he felt the group's use of symbols and "tribes" was offensive.
