Native council celebrates 40 years

TUESDAY, JUNE 25, 2002 The Tanana Chiefs Conference of Alaska celebrated 40 years of existence on Monday with the dedication of a building to founder and elder Al Ketzler Sr. TCC was created in response to threats on Native rights during the 1960s. The state began trying to select lands that had been promised to villages. TCC has grown to represent 42 interior villages. Get the Story:
