Native corp cleared for casino

Gaming regulators in Nevada cleared an Alaska Native corporation investment in a Las Vegas casino.

The Nevada Gaming Commission voted unanimously to approve the Cook Inlet Region Inc. proposal. The decision allows the regional corporation to share profits among 7,000 shareholders but state regulators can require any deemed unsuitable to sell his or her interest.
