The president and four members of a school board in Michigan were recalled on Monday because they wanted to get rid of a school's mascot.

The Marshall school board in February voted to retire the high school's Redskins nickname. The president and the members were then targeted in the recall.

The incoming board may or may not accept "Redhawks," a name approved by students last month.
