Native student test scores rise

Certain test scores of Native American students in Washington show improvement.

The largest gains were by Native Americans in sixth-grade math, according to The Seattle Times. The gap between Native students and White students has reduced by three percent since 1999, the paper reported.

The analysis was based on results from the third- and sixth-grade Iowa Tests of Basic Skills. that the state released yesterday.
