FRIDAY, JUNE 7, 2002 There may be a gang problem in some parts of the Navajo Nation but not in New Mexico, readers of a local newspaper complain. The Farmington Daily-Times ran a story yesterday which quoted law enforcement officials who cited gang violence. Readers in Shiprock said the article gave the impression of problems all over the three-state reservation and not just Fort Defiance, Arizona, and Window Rock, Arizona, the capitol of the Navajo Nation.
