WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5, 2002 The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe of South Dakota and local law enforcement are sharing policing duties on tribal land. The tribe regulates hunting and fishing by tribal and non-tribal members. The tribe cannot has no criminal jurisdiction over non-Indians. Local officials have full powers on tribal land and follow tribal law. Get the Story:
