The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe of South Dakota and local law enforcement are sharing policing duties on tribal land.

The tribe regulates hunting and fishing by tribal and non-tribal members. The tribe cannot has no criminal jurisdiction over non-Indians.

Local officials have full powers on tribal land and follow tribal law.
