TUESDAY, MAY 28, 2002 An independent federal commission in Canada has cited deplorable water conditions on First Nations Reserves in Ontario. The Walkerton Inquiry was called in response to the deaths of children from bacteria poisoning in the water system. One part of the comprehensive, two-part report focuses on reserves. Native chiefs are calling on the government to correct the reserves. Get the Story:
