Removal of Indian 'chief' sought

THURSDAY, MAY 16, 2002 A group in New York wants a school district to get rid of its Indian chief mascot. The Redhawk Indian Arts Council says the mascot is offensive. The group is planning to meet with the Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery School District to talk about the issue at its annual pow-wow. Get the Story:
