Pueblo author to receive honorary doctorate

FRIDAY, MAY 10, 2002 Acoma Pueblo author Simon Ortiz will received one of two honorary doctorates this year from the University of New Mexico. Ortiz is a poet and short-story writer. He will receive his degree at a commencement ceremony this Saturday. Get the Story:
