Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas is in dire financial straits, The Lawrence Journal-World reports today.

To make up for funding shortfalls, the school is considering cutting back on enrollment and increasing fees. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is providing $9 million but the school says the amount is $3.6 million short of the need.

Current enrollment is a little over 1,000. The school might cut back to 900.

Fees are currently $105. There is no tuition.
