Editorial: Indian voters at the table

THURSDAY, MAY 9, 2002 In an editorial today, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader calls for South Dakota and the rest of the nation to include Native American voters. "We can't exist - as a state or nation - with a growing population left out of the political process," the paper writes. "To do so would further push Native Americans to the back of the bus." The paper also calls on Native Americans to become more involved in the political process. In some states, Native voters can decide close races, the paper says. Get the Story:
