Idaho tribes react to gaming suit
TUESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2002 The leaders of two north Idaho tribes on Monday criticized an anti-gaming group for trying to thwart their constitutional initiative. The Coeur d'Alene Tribe and Nez Perce Tribe have started a voter initiative to allow continued gaming on their reservations. The tribes hope to put the issue on the November ballot. State Sen. Laird Noh, a Republican from Kimberly, said her anti-gaming group would sue to prevent the tribes from completing their effort. Get the Story:
