8th Circuit reviewing Meskwaki casino shutdown
WEDNESDAY, MAY 28, 2003

The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals is being asked to expedite review of shutdown of the Meskwaki Tribe's casino in Iowa.

The National Indian Gaming Commission says the tribe is violating the law. Two rival factions are battling for control of the casino and the tribe.

The casino was closed early Friday morning. Hotels in the area say they have lost business as a result.
