Canadian police aware of Aquash case developments
FRIDAY, APRIL 4, 2003

The United States may have to ask the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for assistance in locating a second man wanted in connection for the murder of Anna Mae Pictou-Aquash.

John Graham, also known at John Boy Patton, may be living in Canada's Yukon Territory. He is a Canadian Aboriginal. A sergeant said the RCMP is aware of the latest case developments, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader reported.

Graham and Arlo Looking Cloud are named in a federal indictment for Aquash's murder. The Denver Post said Graham allegedly kidnapped Aquash from a Denver home months before her murder.

Aquash, a Mik'maq from Canada, was found dead on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota in early 1976. She died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Looking Cloud, 50, will return to South Dakota to face the first-degree murder charge. His case in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado is USA v. Arlo Looking Cloud, 03-M-1088. In South Dakota, the case is identified as 5:03cr50020.

The South Dakota District Court identifies Graham as "John Boy Patton." The case is 5:03cr50020.
