Seneca Nation retailers lose tobacco supplier
Wednesday, December 3, 2003

A major supplier of tobacco products to businesses on the Seneca Nation of New York has lost its license, The Buffalo News reports.

The Seneca Nation was considering buying A.D. Bedell Co. in order to get around state regulations that would impose taxes on the reservation. The tribe has been a major opponent of the new taxes, which are set to go into effect in March.
