Janklow raises diabetes defense in fatal accident

Rep. Bill Janklow (R) says he driving ability was reduced because he suffers from diabetes and was taking a hypertension drug at the time of a fatal accident.

Janklow raised his medical defense in court papers submitted in his felony manslaughter case. His doctor says his diabetic condition was masked by the hypertension drug.

Janklow has been charged with killing a man on August 16. He speeding at the time.
