Bones left on museum's doorstep to be repatriated
Friday, November 21, 2003

The University of Nebraska State Museum will repatriate remains that were left at its doorstep, The Lincoln Journal Star reports.

The bones were left with a note stating that they were Native and came from the Salt River area of Arizona. The remains were eight to 15 centuries old, according to the note.

The museum will work to determine how to repatriate the remains. They could be affiliated with at least six tribes in Arizona.
