The Shivwits Band of the Paiute Tribe will receive 4,000-acre-feet of water in a settlement that has been finalized by the federal government.

The tribe filed a claim for 12,000 acre-feet nearly 25 years ago. It settled for water and a $24 million in federal funds, $15 million of which are being used for a pipeline project. The tribe also received money for economic development.
