Speaker explains tribal governments at university

Wynema Morris, a member of the Omaha Tribe, spoke for Native American Heritage Month at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

The subject of the talk was tribal governments. "People are shocked when they find out Native Americans have governments," Morris said, The UNO Gateway reported.

Morris also talked about the history of tribal-U.S. relations and said full recognition of tribal sovereignty was the only way to go.
