Mont. tribe's police promise traffic crackdown
Tuesday, November 18, 2003

The Chippewa Cree Tribe's police department is taking a stricter approach to traffic laws on the Rocky Boy's Reservation in Montana.

In participation with local police agencies, the tribe will conduct more traffic stops for the next two weeks. Instead of giving warnings, police will issue tickets.

The effort is part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's focus on traffic safety education and enforcement.
