A reported 1,000 people attended the second annual pow-wow at Lake Yosemite in California on Sunday.

The California Indian Education Association Central Valley chapter organized the pow-wow along with the University of California, the Merced and Merced County schools. CIEA hopes to raise at least $2,000 to help Native American students attend the UC system.
