Saginaw Chippewa Tribe holds primary election

A reported 66 percent of voters turned out for a primary election held by the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan.

The primary narrowed the 56 candidates for the tribe's district 1 to a field of 20. The general election will be held November 4.
