Viejas man gets 10 years in prison for fatal stabbing

A member of the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians of California was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a fatal stabbing. Hank Banegas, the nephew of former chairman Steven TeSam, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. He was charged with killing Faitamai "Fai" Tauanuu after a concert last October. TeSam reportedly got into a fight with youths after the concert. Get the Story:
