N.M. tribe still cleaning up leftover manure
Friday, October 3, 2003

Pojoaque Pueblo in New Mexico says it has removed about two-thirds of a huge manure pile at a former racetrack.

The tribe bought the old track in 1996, inheriting 200,000 cubic yards of horse manure that the previous owners left behind.

Some local officials and residents say the tribe is moving too slowly. A Santa Fe County development review committee says the tribe should be given two more years to finish the job.
