Congress still working on appropriations bills

Today is the start of the new fiscal year but only three of the 13 federal appropriations bills have been passed by Congress

The House and Senate have passed their version of a $20 billion Department of Interior bill. A joint conference committee is hashing out the differences.

Lawmakers hope to wrap up work by Thanksgiving.
