Services are being held in Nixon, Nevada, today for Robert Baker Jr., a Paiute basket weaver who died last Thursday at the age of 43.

Baker was chairman of the Great Basin Native Basketweavers Association, which he helped found. He carried on a tradition learned from his grandparents.

Baker spent most of his time on the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony in Nevada.
