Minn. tribe's lobbyist subject of criticism

A lobbyist for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe has been filing late campaign finance reports. H. Theodore Grindal initially reported about $2,000 in expenditures. But after the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board received a complaint, he said he and the tribe have spent $272,082, mainly on a statewide advertising campaign. The board dismissed the complaint and has not taken action against Grindal or the tribe. The board usually allows finance reports to be amended. Get the Story:
