Judge dismisses suit involving unrecognized tribe

A judge in California dismissed a lawsuit that pitted one faction of the Gabrielino-Tongva Tribe against another.

The tribe lacks federal recognition and tribal leaders say they aren't even interested in gaming. But the plaintiffs said they were being blocked by the tribe from participating in a casino.

The tribe is trying to gain federal recognition.
