Muckleshoot Tribe first to sell own brand of salmon
Wednesday, September 17, 2003

The Muckleshoot Tribe of Washington began marketing and selling its own brand of wild salmon this week.

Dubbed "Wild Fresh #1 Salmon," tribal fishermen take great care with the coho, also called silver salmon. The goal is to provide top quality salmon to local markets.

Tribal fishermen also sell the fish by the pound on the roadside.
