The Tulalip Tribes of Washington are opposing a proposed pier in the city of Everett.

The tribes say the pier will damage a traditional fishing area. Officials filed a public comment letter with the state Department of Ecology in opposition to the project.

The city wants to build the pier to lure a Boeing business.
