The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut held a ceremony to remember the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The Norwich Bulletin reported that it was a somber and moving ceremony. The tribe thanked veterans, police, fire and emergency medical personnel for their service.

Miosotys Fernandez, an employee of the tribe's casino, spoke about losing her fiancee in the attack on the World Trade Center.
