A jury in New Mexico has decided not to put Robert Fry on death row for the murder of Donald Tsosie, a Navajo man.

The 12-member jury did not know that Fry is already on death row for the murder and rape of Betty Lee, Navajo mother.

The jury convicted Fry of murdering Tsosie and sentenced him to life in prison.
