Alaska Native org to shut down convention center

The Tanana Chiefs Conference is shutting down its convention center in Fairbanks, Alaska.

The four-year-old center has become a financial drain for the non-profit organization, which serves 42 Interior Alaska Native communities. The 10,000-square-foot facility will close April 30.
