SIPI excited about opening of new tech building

Students at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in New Mexico will be able to take classes in the tribal college's new $12 million science and technology building.

The building features science and computer laboratories that school officials say will help students develop technology vital to Indian Country in areas including computer and Internet networks, resource management and environmental science. The school will be able to expand courses in geospatial information technology, computer assisted design (CAD), chip manufacturing and circuit design.
