A jury in New Mexico heard opening arguments on Tuesday in the case of a convict accused of murdering a Navajo man.

Robert Fry is already on death row for 2000 killing a Navajo mother. He faces the death penalty for the 1998 death of Donald Tsosie.

Both crimes occurred off the reservation. Fry is non-Native and is said to hold racist views.
